2 arrested in Manchester after 12 false fire alarms go off in one day
MANCHESTER — The fire department responded to 12 false alarms, all originating from call boxes on the west side on Friday.
Justin Nagy,19, and Stavros Doukeris, 20, were arrested in connection with the events.
The calls began at approximately 1:30 a.m. and persisted until 11:45 p.m. that night. The vehicle fled from the area, and the witness followed, telling Manchester Fire Department Engine 6 about the incident as it responded to the alarm.
Personnel from Engine 6 were able to stop the vehicle, and its occupants.
Nagy, the alleged passenger, was charged with False Public Alarm, and Doukeris, the alleged driver, was arrested for criminal liability.
