2 arrested after Manchester police say suspects fled in car after routine traffic stop

MANCHESTER - Police said a typical traffic stop on Conant Street in Manchester escalated to a police pursuit.

According to police, Alfredo Gonzalez-Blas was pulled over with two women in the car, one was Jordan Beaudette, 26.

Police determined there was a warrant for his arrest and asked Gonzalez-Blas to step out of the vehicle.

When he refused to step out of the car, police said Beaudette started the car and Gonzalez-Blas hit the gas and sped off.

The car hit a street sign but continued speeding down Blucher Street.

Gonzalez-Blas and Beaudette abandoned the car and fled on foot.

Police located both suspects, and found almost 9 grams of marijuana after a search.

Both suspects were charged with a number of crimes including resisting arrest, possession of a controlled drug and reckless conduct.

Gonzalez-Blas and Beadette are expected to appear in court Monday.
