2 arrested after home invasion in Laconia, 2nd violent incident in past week

LACONIA - Another violent home invasion in Laconia led the arrests of 2 suspects hiding in a basement.

Police responded to reports that three masked robbers had broken into an apartment and pinned the people inside to the floor on Tuesday.

After arriving at 93 Church Street, police chased two suspects who fled on foot.

A police dog helped locate the suspects who were hiding in a basement.

This is the second violent home invasion in the past week. Police reported to the scene of another home invasion on July 29.

Laconia police received a call about two injured men, bleeding heavily from significant head injuries near Pine Street and South Main Street, police said.
