2-alarm Hooksett home fire needs 10 neighboring towns to help put it out

HOOKSETT - Firefighters responded to 26 Casey Drive for a structure fire Friday which resulted in rescue aid from 10 surrounding N.H. communities.

First arriving firefighters encountered heavy smoke throughout the inside of the home. A second alarm then went off and that's when fire aid from neighboring communities including Allenstown, Pembroke, Manchester, Derry, Goffstown, Candia, Auburn, Raymond Concord and Chester showed up.

The fire was rapidly growing but was quickly contained with lasting significant damage.

None of the residents or any of the personnel on scene were injured.

Fire investigation indicated that the cause of the fire involved cooking equipment being used in the building.
