CHESTER - An after-prom party hosted by a Manchester first-grade teacher was busted by police early Sunday morning.
After complaints of a loud party, police arrived at the Chester home of Steffany Maloney, a first-grade teacher at Gossler Park Elementary School.
Maloney, 48, has been placed on paid administrative leave after being issued a summons for facilitating an underage drinking party.
The police said they observed parked vehicle at the home with a driver and passenger vomiting. Both were taken into protective custody since they were underage.
A boy and two girls were found passed out in two other vehicles on the property, as well. More underage drinkers were found in the basement of the home.
A boy, who the police say tried to flee, was taken to the hospital for intoxication and a head injury he sustained while trying to run away.
17 vehicles were towed from the residence, and juveniles were released to the parents at the scene.
The police said this case is still under investigation.
