18-year-old said he was driving 101 mph because he was 'late for class'


CONCORD – State Police arrested a man who was allegedly driving 101 mph on I-93 south Tuesday.

Nicholas Tobin, 18, was driving near Exit 16 in a Chevy Silverado when troopers observed him driving above the 55 mph speed limit.

Tobin was arrested for reckless operation and is scheduled to appear in court in January.

Tobin told officers the reason he was speeding was because he was late for class.
