17-year-old hit by car while crossing street with younger sister in Derry

DERRY — A 17-year-old was hit by a car while crossing East Broadway with her younger sister, police said.

MacKenzie Clark, of Hampstead, was reportedly crossing the street with her sister when she was struck by Meaghan Summerlin, 21 of Methuen, Mass., who was driving eastbound.

Clark was transported via ambulance to Parkland Medical Center with head and torso injuries. She was the only person injured in the crash, police said.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated by Derry Police.
