14 suspected prostitutes and johns arrested in crackdown in Lebanon
LEBANON - A crackdown on prostitution led to 14 arrests of those charged both with prostitution and soliciting a prostitute in May and June.
Police released the following list of arrests made between May 9 and June 23 that resulting from efforts to pinpoint and stop prostitution activities in the city.
"Over the course of the last several months, the Lebanon Police Department has publicized several of these arrests. The result has been that on many occasions when undercover officers attempt to contact a person offering prostitution services or are contacted by a person looking to solicit a prostitute, they refuse to commit these crimes in Lebanon because of the recent press and the potential of getting caught. community," police wrote in a news release Monday.
