104th meth bust in Maine this year, total is already double 2015 busts

Maine Police discovered an active meth lab in the basement of a home on Wednesday night, this bust being the 104th meth response by the drug agency this year alone. Last year there were a total of 56 meth busts all year.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Meth Lab team arrived at the single family home to gather evidence on Thursday. Officials say they found a substantial amount of meth and the ingredients to make the drug in the basement of the home.

Christopher Kessell, 36, lives at the address and was arrested for alleged trafficking of methamphetamine. He is currently at the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta.
