$100K donation to Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services goes toward renovations
MANCHESTER — People's United Bank donated $100,000 to Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services, which will go toward the renovation of the organization's main facility.
“At People’s United Bank we are honored to have colleagues that have served our country with distinction in the military, and beyond that, most all of our colleagues have family members who have served,” said People’s United Bank President of NH Dianne Mercier. “So while it is impossible to make a wrong choice when supporting the many programs that Easterseals provides, this one had deep personal meaning to our employees.”
The gift will be used to create a dedicated and more private entrance to the Manchester building as well as to help increase meeting spaces for veterans, service members and their families.
“Collectively, the renovation will allow us to reconfigure space to best meet the needs of the people who come to us for support and greater independence,” said Easterseals President & CEO Larry Gammon. “We are extremely fortunate that we have been allowed to serve the residents of New Hampshire for more than 80 years."
Once the renovation is completed later this summer, Easterseals will be home to the largest array of services under one roof for people with disabilities and special needs, the organization said.
