100 grams of suspected heroin seized after NH traffic stop leads to drug bust

CONCORD — N.H. State Police arrested a 25-year-old man on drug charges after they said they found 100 grams of suspected heroin in his car.

Ernesto Reyes, of Lawrence, Mass., was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 125 at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

Reyes refused to identify himself to the police officer, who then attempted to place Reyes under arrest, officials said. Reyes attempted to resist arrest but was soon taken into custody.

Police found 10 fingers (100 grams) - which has an estimated street value of $3,600 - of suspected heroin in Reyes' car.

Reyes' was arraigned by video Monday morning and is being held on $50,000 cash bail. Reyes is being charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, a felony, resisting arrest, disobeying an officer, and operating after suspension, all misdemeanors.
