10-year-old girl hit in Manchester after running into the road
MANCHESTER — Police report that a 10-year-old girl was hit after running into the road on Saturday.
Manchester Police Department stated that around 11:50 p.m. a 10-year-old girl from Manchester ran out in front of a car at 413 Bridge Street.
The driver of the 2009 Toyota Rav 4 was identified by police as Mary Dahlberg of Ware, NH.
According to police, Dahlberg was driving east on Bridge St. when the juvenile ran onto the roadway and was struck by the car.
First responders say that the young girl sustained significant injuries and was transported to Elliot Hospital for treatment.
Officials report that speed and physical impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash at this time.
The juvenile was ultimately transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon for further treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
