10 NH high school students going to prom for free after 'Operation Safe Prom' contest

BEDFORD/PEMBROKE — Ten high school students from New Hampshire will be going to the prom for free.

For the third year in a row, AG Supermarkets (Sully’s of Allenstown and the new Harvest Ace Hardware of Bedford) has announced its partnership with the Allenstown, Bedford and Pembroke Police Departments, and the Administration at both Bedford High School and Pembroke Academy in sponsoring a short film contest to encourage New Hampshire's high school students to make good choices when driving.

Seven submissions from both high schools, where students created videos to create awareness of the dangers of distracted driving, were forwarded by the local high school committees for consideration, and posted on the Associated Grocers of New England’s YouTube page. Both communities were then encouraged to vote and the winning videos were then chosen.

Based upon this year’s contest rules, Associated Grocers Supermarkets and its stores Sully’s of Allenstown and Harvest Ace Hardware of Bedford will be purchasing prom tickets for all students of the three winning teams.
