$10,000 payout coming back to head shop after federal drug in Keene

KEENE - Phat Stuff, a head shop formerly located in Keene, is receiving $10,000 from the federal government after its merchandise and bank accounts were seized in a nation-wide drug raid known as Project Synergy in 2014.

The government seized boxes of various pipes, grinders, rollers, rolling paper, glass products, vaporizers, and scales from Phat Stuff which has since moved to Brattleboro, Vt., according to the Keene Sentinel.

Phat Stuff owner Panagiotes J. "Panos" Eliopoulos of Richmond made a deal to forfeit $10,729.50 dollars of the $20,729.50 in assets - primarily cash - which were originally seized.

Phat Stuff was one of hundreds of stores targeted on suspicion of synthetic drug production and distribution.

Eliopolous could not be reached for comment.
