1 of 5 suspects in NH Wal-Mart thefts arrested; 4 identified as Vermont residents

LEBANON — The Lebanon Police Department have identified the five suspects who they said stole various merchandise from Wal-Mart.

Police said they determined the identities based on numerous tips they received.

The suspects were involved with four different thefts occurring between Feb. 2 and 8, police said. Those thefts involved electronic devices including: TVs, DVD players, a dash camera and a tablet. The total value of the stolen items was more than $4,000.

Wanted suspects

Timothy Wainwright, 41, Springfield, Vt.

Scott Amidon, 42, Weathersfield, Vt.

Beatrice Amidon, 43, Weathersfield, Vt.

Lisa Akey, 33, Brattleboro, Vt.

Arrested

Frank Merrell, 34, Goshen, N.H.

The Lebanon Police Department obtained felony arrest warrants for the above people and can extradite the suspects from all New England States.

Police took Merrell into custody Feb. 22 and charged him with theft. He was released on $5,000 cash bail and will be arraigned in the Lebanon district court April 17.

The other suspects are still wanted by the Lebanon Police Department. Police encourage anyone with information regarding these suspects or knowledge of their whereabouts to call your local police department.
