1 killed, another suffered injuries in head-on crash on Route 10 in Winchester

WINCHESTER — One man was killed and another suffered non-life threatening injuries after a near head-on collision on NH Route 10.

Police were notified and responded to a car crash located on Route 10 in Winchester on Thursday at about 5:30 p.m.

Eric Williams, 29 of Springfield, Mass., was traveling northbound on Route 10 when he crossed over the center double yellow lines for unknown reasons. Gregory Wilson, 66 of Jacksonville, Vt., was driving southbound when he was hit by Williams in a near head-on collision.

Williams suffered life threatening injuries and later died from those injuries at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene. Wilson suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Mass.

The crash is under investigation by the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit.
