1 dead in Manchester shooting; self-defense possible, AG says
MANCHESTER - Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in an alley by Pine Street and Lake Avenue.
As of Sunday evening, no arrests had been made. According to Sr. Asst. Attorney General Jeff Strelzin, authorities are not currently searching for any suspects and do not believe there is a threat to the public.
The victim, who police are not identifying, was found in a parking lot behind an apartment building in between two cars.
Blood stains were seen on a nearby BMW.
Detectives also blocked off an nearby area with multiple barrels. They would not confirm what they were looking for inside the barrel.
The AG's office says the shooting could have been in self-defense.
An investigation was continuing Sunday night.
