Friday the 13th
Yes, there have been movies based on that fateful day, but in reality, is it really that bad of a day? Do black cats meet at a bar and conspire to bring so much bad luck to others? I was born on the 13th (but not on a Friday), athletes have worn No. 13 and have had successful careers.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats home opener
It was my first professional sports home opener of any kind. I've been to Concord High School football opening games, baseball opening games and even UNH Women's Hockey home openers (as a PA announcer), but those are high school and college, not the pro's. Tonight, that happens at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats host the Hartford Yard Goats. The Beatles fireworks show will follow and then a trip to the Red Arrow Diner in Concord!
The show of shows has come and gone, and with the exception of the disappointing Main Event between WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns, it was a shocking, surprising and refreshing good time. It featured twists, turns, quality matches (like "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey's debut as a pro wrestler) and an epic intro for Shinsuke Nakamura, who would later turn heel at the conclusion of his match with WWE Champion AJ Styles.
With "Rampage" and "Truth Or Dare" coming out this weekend, Kitty Rae, the "Cail And Company" resident "flick chick" is on the show Friday. I have a running bet with Ken Cail on how many new movies she's seen in the two weeks before she appears on the show. I say two, Ken says three. We shall see on this tie-day Friday.
