This VERY important news coming out after 'National No Bra Day,' and maybe I should have participated. Who am I kidding, that's the first thing that happens when I get home from work. You with me ladies?
Your bra could be giving you headaches!
Apparently 78% of women in the world wear the wrong size bra. And if you're one of them, it can add stress to your shoulders, which can lead to headaches and back and neck pain.
Every woman has different size and shaped breasts, and most women have two different shapes and sizes, so finding the correct bra could be a challenge.
I see a cute bra at the store, look for my size, be sure it's not a gazillion dollars, buy it and wear it. Is this why I am popping Tylenol like tic-tacs? It's possible.
According to professional bra-fitting specialist Paula Svoboda, "it’s important to know what bra size you really are, to ensure that your bra is giving you the support you need." For 17 years, Svoboda has fit more than 50,000 women, so I'd tend to take her word for it.
Svoboda suggests you be professionally fitted every six months and consider purchasing new bras every 12 months as “they stretch more than you think and this means you won’t be as supported when the bra was brand new.”
“We all love a beautiful-looking bra, but if it’s not offering the right support, it’s not helping you at all. If you have a larger bust, finding a supportive bra is even more important. Go for styles with thicker straps and a wider band with more hooks. Three band hooks or more will help to keep your bust in line and the thicker straps will provide increased leverage,” says the professional
Seriously, no one really sees my cute lacey bras, so what am I doing?
