How the 'Dipjar' is Helping the Lakes Region One House At a Time

Go find the Dipjar to help Lakes Region Community Developers! Celebrating 25 years this year, Lakes Region Community Developers began as the Laconia Area Community Land Trust, creating affordable housing in the area.

In the past quarter century, 341 affordable apartments have been constructed in Ashland, Laconia, Meredith, Tilton and Wolfeboro, with more healthy homes under construction in Gilford.

Lakes Region Community Developers creates healthy homes that are safe, affordable, energy-efficient, dry, clean, ventilated, free from pests and contaminants, contributing to success in work, education and relationships. And they are working to develop other types of real estate that responds to local community needs, like affordable single-family homes, multi-family rental properties, and community facilities for child care, health care and workforce development.

You can help by donating one dollar to the Dipjar, that will move from place to place each month this year. This month, you’ll find the Dipjar at Annie’s Café and Catering, at their new location on Gilford Ave in Laconia.
