Never shower in the morning? You're doing it right. That's right, according to New York dermatologist Dr. Samer Jaber, you should be showering at night. Especially in the spring and summer.
For one, it makes total sense to wash off the dirt from working or playing hard during the day. But you also have to remember you are not only washing off the dirt from the day, you are also washing off the pollen and allergens that have collected on your face, skin and hair.
And if you suffer from allergies you certainly don't want to be rolling around in a bed full of pollen all night.
One thing to keep in mind if you have trouble sleeping is to take your bedtime shower at least 90 minutes prior to sleeping. This allows your body to cool down, making it easier to fall asleep.
Showering at night is something you don't want to pass but if you must take that shower every morning as part of your routine, that's okay. For some it helps wake you up in the morning and that's perfectly fine.
